Several Tests To Predict The Health Of Your Heart

This is the fact that there are some young men who get heart disease. In most cases, heart disease is not a disease that is suffered by young men. However, you cannot ignore the possibility for you to get this disease. You might be the one who suffers this disease or not, it is all up to you.

Your doctor might be going to do a number of complicated examinations to know the condition of your heart health. However, according to some experts, there are three simple tests to predict the possibility for you to get heart disease.

1. Sleeping test

First of all, answer this question: do you sleep at noon frequently? If yes, the risk for you to get heart disease is bigger. A research that is written in Journal of the American Medical Association mentions that the sufficient sleeping will reduce the risk to get heart disease until 33%.

When you sleep less, your body will ease away the stress hormone that can cause the blood vessel to crease and elicit infection. If you are often sleepy and tired at noon, your sleeping time can be not so good in both quality and quantity.

2. Vitamin D test

The low level of vitamin D can increase the risk to get hypertension and inflammation in your blood vessel. The sufficient vitamin D level in adult is about 30-40 ng/ml.

3. Finger test

Lining cells that cover your blood vessel, including lining cells in forefinger, consist of single layer that is called endothelia. Endothelia functions to produce chemical substance that influences the function of blood vessel. The change of endothelia can be seen years before the signs of getting heart disease appear.

That is why, some experts are convinced about the condition of prime endothelia that can be the measuring rod of heart disease and stroke. To examine it, you can test your forefinger temperature using temperature detector and measure your blood pressure using cuff that is enlaced in your arm.

When the cuff pumps up, the blood flow into your hand will reduce and the forefinger temperature will also reduce. After five minutes, you can let loose the cuff and the blood flow will be normal again. The faster the temperature of your forefinger increases, the healthier endothelia is.

If those three tests show that you have the risk for getting heart disease, you can consult it with your doctor. Besides, you can try to change or control this risk by maintaining the blood pressure, cholesterol level, and body weight, and staying away from smoking.
